If you notice a double decker bus driving thru campus, don’t worry! You haven’t just woken up on the streets of London. The Bustaurant is wildly popular here in Bloomington-Normal. Our staff took last Friday to visit this unique dining experience.
Checking their Facebook page, we found that they would be located in the Alamo II parking lot. After hearing all of the hype, we were excited to try something new and exciting! We were greeted by Steffan, the owner of George (The name of the double decker bus). Steffan was engaging and a delight to meet. He felt comfortable explaining in great detail about all of the daily entrees, his personal favorite; Sticky Balls.
Our leasing manager Courtney ordered the Steak Kabobs, served on a bed of sticky rice, drizzled with mango chili sauce. “The steak was tender and Cooked perfectly, plus they fit my macros.”
Lesley and Michelle, our two leasing agents ordered The Cuban. Michelle reported, “It has a good amount of kick, spicy, enjoyable with articulate blend of flavors and textures.”
Audie, a leasing agent ordered the fish and chips, “Definitely brought life to my day. A great order if you are looking for comfort food. Easily the best pick for someone who loves home-style cooking. I am definitely interested in ordering the Cuban or steak kabobs next visit!”
Another majority favorite was the sticky balls, balled sticky rice infused with sweet citrus juice, fried and topped with a blend of Sriracha sauce and cilantro paste.
So make The Bustaurant a must-have option for your next lunch date with your roommates. You can checkout their daily menu and locations on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/The-Bustaurant-312000205644831/?fref=ts
